Pilates Group Class Descriptions
Reformer Plus CLASS
In this Group Equipment Class, most of the workout is on the Reformer. The Plus is we’ll either start or finish with a Mat work, which we believe is vital to any Pilates workout. Time permitting, we’ll finish with a circuit on the Cadillac, Chairs and Barrels – whatever the class needs that day. All levels are welcome though we recommend taking 3-5 Pilates private sessions before joining our group classes or semi-private sessions.

MAT CLASS
These classes are all virtual and on the Mat. You’ll receive the link when you sign up. No equipment necessary but we’ll sometimes use a Magic Circle and other apparatus, you can improvise with household items as well. All levels welcome but 3-5 private lessons either in person or on Zoom are recommended before joining a group.

Straight Up MAT
This hybrid class means some people will be on Zoom, some will be in our Santa Monica Pilates studio. These classes are all on the Mat. We’ll mix it up with weights, a Magic Circle, a ball and band, but don’t worry if you don’t have these items. We can improvise with water bottles, soup cans and pillows. All levels welcome but I recommend taking 3-5 private lessons either in person or on Zoom before joining a group. You’ll receive the link when you sign up.

Level Up Reformer CLASS
This Reformer class taught by Hector Mercado is for strong intermediate practitioners who want to level up to an advanced practice. You must have knowledge of the Pilates Reformer, like how to add and remove springs, adjust the foot bar, use the straps and be able to do overhead exercises. We recommend at least three private sessions before entering a group class

Strength & Stability CLASS
This Reformer class is for anyone interested in longevity and a healthy body at any age. We will go through the workout on the reformer then work on balance with one leg exercises. Strength using heavier weights, springs and bands. You will leave feeling strong and powerful.

FEETNESS
Feet-ness is an all level, full body workout focused on the feet! It’s still a full body workout incorporating Reformer and Mat work but the focus always comes back to the feet and ankles. Our feet are vital to our overall health and fitness. This is the workout you never knew you needed. Whether you have stiff, painful feet, an injury or just want to keep your feet malleable and strong, this class is for you. We use a small apparatus called The Rescue Loop, The Foot Corrector and some balls and bands.
